SPANISH FOR BUSINESS TRANSACTIONS

A two-week Business Course of twenty lessons per week with a maximum of ten students per class. Academic Credit is available. *

APSS offers this Business Spanish Course designed to help anyone who has a good command of the Spanish Language but needs to acquire pertinent dialogue and expressions for use in the business world in order to do business internationally, whether abroad, on the telephone, or via e-mail.

The aim of this course is to help improve student's level of competence in many typical business-related activities such as using the telephone for business, carrying out banking operations, participating in meetings, negotiating and selling, making presentations, etc. The basics of commercial correspondence are introduced and both models and practice activities are provided. The important business skills of translation and interpretation are also practiced. Students also practise the essentials of business travel such as renting a car, staying in a hotel, and ordering meals.

Among other activities, grammar exercises, personalized questions, dialogues, situational role-plays, simulations, discussions and realia-based activities introduce and reinforce key business vocabulary while encouraging students to communicate in Spanish.

Course design

The course consists of 4 hours tuition per day (9.30 - 13.30) for 2 weeks. Students can choose to take an exam at the end of the second week in order to obtain a Certificate of Completion and optional Academic Credit. The Certificate recognizes that students have a high intermediate competence and familiarity with the language used in the Business world.

Course start dates

Group courses start every month (first Monday) throughout the year.
One-on-one courses are scheduled according to the student’s needs.

Prices

  • Group Course - 2 weeks (40 hours): US $ 270/week
  • One-on-one Course – 40 class hours: US $ 18/hour

Minimum level

The minimum level required to attend this Business Spanish Course is High Intermediate.
The minimum age is 18.

Extracurricular Activities Program:

Our activities program is a special service for our students. Our school has an activities coordinator, who is especially dedicated to arrange cultural activities and excursions all days of the weeks, and also on weekends.
These activities have an extra cost for entrances fees, meals, transportation costs, etc. All activities can be requested directly at the school.
