CORDOBA
The city of Cordoba, capital of the Province of Córdoba, is the second largest city in Argentina. Due to its privileged location in the center of the Argentine continental territory -within easy reach of the Argentina interior - Cordoba has become an important tourist, commercial and industrial center.
This colonial city is rich in history and culture, and retains its provincial charm while offering visitors the sophistication and amenities of a large city.
The school headquarters are located in downtown Córdoba, only two blocks from the historic Plaza San Martin. Also nearby are beautiful colonial buildings such as the Cathedral, the “Cabildo” and the National University of Cordoba, one of the most important universities in Argentina; each year it receives students from all over the country, which makes Cordoba a young and vibrant city.
Students can enjoy the commercial center too, with its charming, cobble stoned pedestrian streets lined with cafes, shops and shopping centers. The bars, discos and pubs areas offer exciting entertainment throughout the night. Córdoba also provides all the services foreign students can need as regards public transport, access to communication networks and commercial centers, as well as banking transactions, and other business services.
THE SCHOOL
Our School offers very convenient facilities. The School has 7 classrooms and all of them are equipped with audio/video systems. There is also free Internet access to all students. The school has a canteen too, which is used by students during breaks and free time. There they can enjoy coffee, tea, mate, or mineral water. They can also bring their own food and drinks and have them there. Besides, our students take part in varied social, cultural and entertainment activities and enjoy a friendly warm atmosphere, receiving personal attention from our teachers and staff.

CENTRE OF THE COUNTRY AND CAPITAL OF THE MERCOCITIES NETWORK
Córdoba has been chosen as the CAPITAL OF THE MERCOCITIES NETWORK, making it the cultural reference point of the Americas for the full year. This designation is to be a tool for the greater understanding and cohesion of the Latin American People and the projection of our culture to the rest of the world.
A wide range of different activities is being offered during 365 days: classical and popular concerts, theatrical productions, film festivals, book fairs, forums on different cultural issues (literature, arts, crafts, etc), congresses, conferences and debates, encounters of choirs, local, regional and international music encounters, painting exhibitions, popular festivals such as Carnival, Holy Week, Week of Cordoba and Week of Tradition, humor festivals, exhibitions of graphic humor, etc. It is also expected a strong contribution of national and foreign artists coming from the Americas and Europe, which will highlight the cosmopolitan character of the second city of the country.
TOURIST ATTRACTIONS, OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES AND SPORTS
Córdoba also offers a region of beautiful Sierras with hills of medium height, valleys, plains and plateaus called pampas, crossed by charming rivers, streams and lakes. The Sierras of Córdoba are dotted with attractive tourist towns like Villa Carlos Paz, Cosquín, La Falda and many others. Opportunities for outdoor activities are many, from trekking, climbing, horseback riding, mountain biking and skiing to paragliding and water sports such as sailing, canoeing, rowing, water skiing and windsurfing. You can enjoy golf courses, race tracks, shows, and casinos in the main holiday resorts, which host many events throughout the year: folk music and dance festivals, regional food festivals, arts and crafts exhibitions, theater and traditional equestrian (gaucho) exhibitions, theater and ballet performances, tango classes and more.
Towards the North, scattered chapels and “estancias” begin to appear. These constructions date back to the 17th and 18th centuries, and many of them are a Jesuit legacy. Many of them have been transformed into tourist accommodations. Visitors take part in the preparation of the typical barbecue and also have a wide choice of sports and recreation activities (horseback riding, polo, golf, hunting, fishing and nature observation).
NIGHTLIFE
The center of Córdoba offers plenty of cinemas, theatres, shows, restaurants, pizzerias, pubs and discos. Nueva Córdoba, a residential neighborhood close to downtown where most university students live, has an active nightlife of its own until early hours in the morning. Cerro de las Rosas, an elegant district about 20 minutes from downtown also offers plenty of fashionable cafés, restaurants and discos where young people can have lots of fun. Córdoba displays an important cultural life, with artistic and cultural spectacle rooms as well.
