A two-week LANGUAGE TEACHING TRAINING PROGRAM which is aimed to American and European people that want to gain teaching experience in an EFL or SFL (English-as-a-foreign-language or Spanish-as-a-foreign-language) classroom while improving their Spanish Language skills.

APSS Language Teaching Training Program Participants:

Observe an innovative approach to education and classroom management - Work closely with experienced Argentinean teachers of English or Spanish as a Foreign Language - Hold discussions/debates about the multiple aspects of Foreign Language Teaching in sessions led by APSS coordinators - Participate as assistant teachers in an Argentinean classroom, under the supervision of experienced language teachers - Improve their Spanish language skills - Experience Argentinean life and culture.

Program design

The Program consists of discussions/debates about different aspects of Foreign Language Teaching in small groups (2 hours per day - 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm) and individual guided teaching practice in the classroom under the supervision of an experienced language teacher (2 hours per day – 9.30 pm to 11.30 am) for 2 weeks. Participants can choose to take an exam at the end of the second week in order to obtain a Certificate of Completion.

Program start dates

Group courses start every month (first Monday) throughout the year.
One-on-one courses are scheduled according to the student’s needs.

Prices

  • Group Program - 2 weeks (40 hours): US $ 240/week
  • One-on-one Program – 40 hours: US $ 16/hour

Minimum level

The minimum Spanish level required to attend this Program is High Intermediate.
The minimum age is 18.

Previous teaching experience as well as the ability to communicate in Spanish is helpful but not required.

Extracurricular Activities Program:

Our activities program is a special service for our students. Our school has an activities coordinator, who is especially dedicated to arrange cultural activities and excursions all days of the weeks, and also on weekends.
These activities have an extra cost for entrances fees, meals, transportation costs, etc. All activities can be requested directly at the school.
